# Mid Zone U initiates all handovers into Arc End Zone Keep play 5m into end zone # Encourage Rotation amongst the 3 Umpires don’t get caught up one end for more than 4 min or stuck in Mid Zone
# A Different Umpire should Begin each Quarter.
# If Mid Z U gets caught then can call End Z U out to take play or within 5m area, but not desirable. # End Z U wishes to move across to B’dry line to assist Mid Z U ok but must immediately assume position after throw in back across Major Axis off Hot Spot.
# As the ball is coming down from centre into End Z the E Z Ump must be across the major axis 10 m off top of the arc, wide vision….
# Initial set up at start of each Qtr. All Points of square covered End Z Umpires should be on or close to Point to assist Mid Z U at Ball Up.
# After each goal the End Z U should be between the point of the square and the Arc watchin the goals and the ball up in centre and then move back into arc, looking… # Kick out from point the End Z U should be 15m off the line and run with play.
# Mid Z U should be standing no further than 10m off the arc b/n arc and back of square ready to take the big kick out from full back and assist End Z U.
# End Zone Ump should never carry ball out of the 50m arc unless scrambly play, wet day or violent situation. Mid Z U should be ready to take play.
3 Umpire system is ever evolving at MPNFL Level.. all finals will have 3 umpires….
