TRIBUNAL PROCEDURE

Once a report has been made and the paperwork completed ALL reporting umpires are to:

  • Send a text message to Carl Fletcher on 0425 256 504 with a clear photo of the Report Sheet,
  • Please include your name on the text message
  • Carl may then request an email to umpiring@aflse.com.au

This must be done before 8pm on the Sunday Night following the game

If you are required to attend the Tribunal on Tuesday night you will be contacted no later than 7pm on Monday Night.

Remember that if you lay a report ensure your availability on the following Tuesday night.  This is the night a tribunal will be held if the charge is to be contested.

Key things to note about the report

  • Date, Grade and location of match;
  • Umpires details including a contact number;
  • Reported players name, number and club;
  • Offended players name, number and club;
  • Offence for which they were reported;
  • Witness names (can only be players or officials.  If an umpire sees it they MUST report it);
  • If the set penalty was offered (In cases where 2 set penalties are available what was offered).

NB: If you lay a report and fail to notify Carl of the report you will be fined 50% of your match fee for the game in which the report was made.

The Tribunal is held at the AFL South East Head Office at Casey Fields from 7pm.
